We joined the masses at the Opening Party last night for the V&A’s latest show.  Billed as “At a time when Britain will be engaged in the democratic process of an election, the V&A will examine the role of public institutions in contemporary life and what it means to be responsible for a national collection.”

Really interesting contrasts between the museum and commissioned pieces and instalments, my favourite part was the “Ways to be Secret” exhibition, which showcased technological objects that create a conflict between our “desire for privacy …and our appetite to share our lives online”.  Within this collection was Edward Snowden’s computer and a selfie stick! Interesting to take a step back and see how are lives are getting more and more tied into tech.
